2016 Toyota Corolla S 1.8 l oil change

2016 Toyota Corolla S CVT regional model
Toyota care if you take the time to read
the information every 5,000 miles you’re
going to get your tires rotated and your
oil inspected some of your fluids top
thought at every 10,000 miles you’re
going to get your filter looked at
changed you may never know they may not
even change your oil and filter it is
about mileage as well as months on the
car brake and fluid is out of this car
at five to six hundred miles the next
ten thousand miles will be my oil change
and every 10,000 miles thereafter I use
au W 20 castor oil and I inspect
everything of my car knowing it’s done
then knowing Toyota may not have done it
at all but it’s always good to check in
with Toyota and see what they offer so
if you’re not a do-it-yourselfer and you
want to try to do it follow along in
this video and I’ll show you the ins and
the outs how to change let’s go
now will the noise pollution and a
police or out of the way depending on
the model car you own and the time it
was produced and manufactured at the
plant this is known as nine or nine one
five wise easy F to the middle canister
filter known as a spin on filter made
for this particular car this is for the
iris it’s also for the Toyota and has
been for the older Toyota Corollas as
well I own a Corolla S that’s right
behind that takes the o4 1 5 2 yzc a 6
for the canister it is a paper filter
this is what the paper filter looks like
so before you go into the parks
department store please take a look
underneath your car simply look right
underneath here and right below here on
the side you’ll see your particular
filter if you don’t want to use the OEM
style you can use any other type filter
that your heart desires this is pure
later L 14 476 this will fit underneath
this car as well as the older cars we’re
not sure if it’s going to fit on my 91
Corolla it will not fit on the car
that’s behind me the 2010
I lifted my car up put a jack and have
it chopped we’re ready to change his
first oil under 600 miles I always like
to change the oil out between three and
six hundred miles and then change my oil
every 10,000 miles I use cast oil I use
Oh W 20 which is sae-oh 5-2 zero whole w
20 please forgive me I may make a
mistake here and there but always wear
gloves when touching old oil
let’s get underneath the car and get
dirty remember to use the nylon washer
change them out every so often no change
them out every time you do the oil
change 14 millimeter socket from Honda
I’ll see if I can read the parts without
my glasses not easy to do the part
number is Ho seven AAA plc a 100 many
people ask me about the socket it has 14
corners about does an excellent job
indeed let’s get to it okay everybody we
all know how to use a socket if somebody
doesn’t know how to use the socket
notice the way my left thumb is facing
lefty loosy if my thumb is over here
righty tighty this is the first time if
this socket and ratchet is not long
enough to break the bolt I will put
something behind it
I put my foot as you can see all the way
against the other tire and I’m getting
ready to break this bowl problem that
was so loose it was not even funny
this is loose I am NOT going to drain my
oil at this given time my next step is I
want to put my cap on the filter which
is right here so let me change my camera
angle up some there you go you can hear
very little play I slide it off I’m
sliding it back on I’m taking my bolt
off placing it to the side I don’t think
I need to have my extension but the
problem here is I got the oil pan almost
in my way hopefully this is a good
camera angle again lefty loosey righty
tighty so I have to go towards the back
of the car here we go and that my
friends this loose is can be loose is a
goose they say the very first oil change
is very simple to do put a drain pan
here let’s get everything drained one of
the things I like to have with me is at
least a towel so I could clean my
fingers and not ruin my camera
everything’s nice and clean around it if
I drain my fluids which is the first one
to drain the pan which is the second one
to drain the filter does it make a
difference if I take the filter off
let’s see
remember it wasn’t super tight it was
loose but I still need to have the tool
to loosen it up let’s take out the fluid
from the top knowing I am doing this the
wrong way slowly let it drain look at
the color of the oil the color of the
oil is not dirty enough fluid comes out
not everything in the pan it is a 9 I
know one five one thousand three
so let’s fully take this off and change
out the filter while I got it off let’s
not drop it into the pan
take note 909 one-fives yzz f2 to the
old 1003 the yzz f2 is a newer version
to the old lot stock of the filter so
please don’t get confused if you see two
different numbers let’s get this filter
oiled and back on to the car I thought
I’d show you a different angle of where
the oil filter is at and if somebody
doesn’t like this particular stock model
from Toyota they can go ahead and take
the two bolts off put a new seal and a
new part to fit the canister filter that
is your option for about $400 I think
maybe a hundred and fifty dollars if you
could find a kit to modify that is all
up to you so this is my filter it comes
with a little plastic sleeve I take off
I go into the old oil
I take oil and I put it around the bead
like so I also put it around the thread
and the inside some people would put oil
inside the filter that is all up to you
here is the filter
I’m lining it up spinning it on hand
tight changing the socket out placing it
on with my hand there are foot or inch
pound talks that is used I don’t use
them one two that’s starting to be real
tight that is as tight as I want to get
it is on a rock solid with my socket I
know I changed it out wrong there’s no
way to change it correctly either the
pan then the filter I chose to do the
filter first and then the pan second
here is the oil drain plug it’s going to
take about a minute or two for the fluid
to come out is there a right way in the
wrong way doing this I probably I’m
going to grab it from the bottom and
pull out this way I am going to hold on
to the drain plug the washer is stuck on
to the drain pan here we go I’m putting
force on it I’m going to get all all my
hands here we go
not much oil cleanup that’s why I have a
napkin with me that is golden wish you
guys could see that color
let me get nice and close to it into the
light there you go not dirty at all
all right guys girls ladies and
gentlemen it’s hard for me to see a lot
of things especially on the wrong angle
but that is the washer right there it is
pressed on I don’t care what you use get
a knife get a real thin blade get
underneath it don’t be afraid just don’t
cut your hands when you do it
if it doesn’t bang off maybe it’s not
meant to come off but for some reason
there was no washer involved don’t force
things let’s just make sure my eyes are
not playing tricks I wear glasses I take
my own washer I place it right on top
that should take care of my issue I wipe
it nice and clean
this has pounds or inch marks how to
tighten I make sure I don’t slip
I get the wrench on I make it nice and
tight I’ll wipe everything nice and
clean and I am good to go everything’s
taken care of
double-checked all cleaned up no need to
show this in the video I have myself my
funnel these are my towels I never
opened up the top of my filler I never
checked my dipstick and Here I am ready
to put in one of the oils which
particular oil do I put in sae-oh w20
I say e5w 20 can be substituted if you
don’t have a c-e-o W 20 us but you have
to change that out with the filter and
then put that in your next oil change
this is five quarts what am I going to
do with the leftover oil put it into my
high mileage one and mix it no longer
I’m going to use this just in case I
simply open up the cap and I started to
pour don’t pour all of it in now’s the
time to check your dipstick when the car
is leveled and started there’s no set
time limit to run or stop your car as
long as oil gets into the filter and out
back into the drain pin remove your
dipstick take a towel slide it clean
there are two markings located right
here low for today’s tip sticks are no
longer marked the correct way slide in
pull out
let’s continue to add some more fluid
some people complain about this little
scraping moth but the fluid is right
there very difficult to see clean up all
around put your cap back on pat yourself
on the back
congratulations you just changed your
first oil in your new car that is
unbelievable
enjoy these are the keys not needed to
read yo domitor of today’s cars and how
many miles does it say on there
there you have it y’see zf2
on a 2016 corolla s CVT regional model
for my car

available for the 2010 and 13 models
